EAGLE is an application developed by CadSoft that offers solutions related to PCB design, which include Autorouter, Schematic Capture as well as Board Layout. It is an acronym for Easily Applicable Graphical Layout Editor. It works on different Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux and Mac. One of the features that the software is offering is the DesignLink which serves as an automatic connection from the Premier Farnell to its database which finds and searches parts from inside the EAGLE design environment itself. EAGLE has PBC Services which is integrated in the software allows its users to order and obtain quotes for their prototypes from different manufacturers. Its Schematic Editor consists of automated board generation, Electrical Rule Check, Icon preview which is being used for sheets and others.
