Rosetta Stone is a learning software that specifically teaches various languages. It uses a technique called Dynamic Immersion. Users are required to pair multimedia elements such as images, text, video and audio to its corresponding matches. It also comes with writing exercises, grammar lessons and word pronunciation. It has a scoring system that allows students to see their progress. Its Homeschool Edition comes with a time tracker, lesson plans, quizzes, transcripts and examinations. This computer-assisted language learning uses Adobe Integrated Runtime on platform. It requires a web browser to work like Internet Explorer 7, Safari 5, Firefox 4 and Chrome 8 and higher. It needs at least 1 GB RAM, 1028 x 768 screen resolution and high speed internet of at least 768 Kbps. For better use of the software, it is recommended that users use a headset and microphone. This software works on various machines such as Mac OS X, Windows 7 and Windows XP.
